Love the versatility of my Boston 12. That said, the Adizero SL2 is the best daily trainer out, for the money. If you haven’t run in it, you need to. It’s bottomless soft and responsive. You can easily give it a pass for not having Continental rubber.
Spot on....the SL2 is a cracker of a shoe...I have the white and carbon black....both feel perfect for daily running....and no problem with the outsole which feels grippy too.
I have the Boston 12 and the SL2 and both are excellent. If the SL2 came with Continental rubber outsole it would pretty much be flawless. The Boston 12 just gets better and better the more you run in it. Lightstrike pro is my favorite midsole compound. It seems to last forever and only improves with every mile.
Currently I have two Pairs of Boston 12.The first one felt like a regular running shoe out of the box except the lockdown was little tricky. After about 60 km the shoe as if changed its character. It became more responsive. So may be it took 60 km of running to break in. The moment I saw sale on it I bought the second pair. Surprisingly the new one felt responsive from the word go. I have one pair of Puma Deviate Nitro 2 also. The grip on both is good on wet roads. The Puma deviate nitro 2 is 14 grams heavier and the toe box is narrow. If I choose half a size bigger there might be further increase in weight. The point I am trying to make is in between the two I would go for Adidas Adizero Boston 12.
Assume Adidas kept the price down on that entry level SL2 by weighing between full length lightstrike pro and the continental outsole, kudos to adidas for bringing a high level trainer at a great price to the market , expect that ,that adisole will hold up pretty well in terms of durability, maybe they can consider 😂 doin like Macdonalds and " upsize " pun intended, by offering a version with the continental rubber say the SL2 +🎉
I have and love the Boston 12. It’s my road shoe I use for all my faster sessions on road, don’t need to switch, I can do warm up and down and smash the intervals. It deals with it fine, gives me great bounce that I really enjoy! I even got the Terrex agravic speed for the trails because it has the same midsole set up! Love that shoe aswell!😊
I use Boston 12 in my rotation with Adios pro 3 and Adios 8. I really don't miss anything other than perhaps a designated recovery shoe. Something comfy and a bit boring but those runs are not really a problem. The Boston 12 works well from fairly slow paces up to marathon and even half marathon pace.
I have Boston 12 and recently got the SL2, the SL doesn’t give enough space on the toe box and seems too tight. I’m thinking of returning it for another pair of Boston 12.

Love my Boston 12 looking for some on sale but sold out in my size whenever I see a sale…
How is it for a beginner runner that do mostly easy runs?
For just daily training I’d start with the SL2. Then Boston 12 and I would not even consider the other two for anything.

The exact video I needed to make sure where to spend my hard earned cash on!

Agreed I got both and don’t like the dn2 but love the Boston 12 looking for a sale to just get a 2nd pair
Is cause you learned how to run in the shoe. Not break it in

Nice review Alex🎉
B12 feels clunky (maybe I'm 145 lb), Triumph 20 way better for me. I love DN2 feels awesome at 7-5 mile pace.
Two runs in on the SL2 and it has me wondering why I even have any other running shoes.
Love my Bostons 12s. Really looking forward to what they can do with the 13s.
When its coming out?

Would you recommend the Adistar BYD for a first time marathon runner with a 6:30min/KM pace?
SL2 is the best daily trainer of the year so far imo
The boston 12 is their best shoe period. It’s why i won’t buy a deviate nitro 3 after my 2 dies out.
How does SL2 fit for beginner runner that needs a do it all shoe?
When new boston will be on market 😊
BYD > Boston > SL > Prima
Curious have you actually ran in the rain in the SL2 ?
Not in the rain but on wet surfaces. Do you refer to the poor grip in the forefoot ?
Old style thumb is more professional looking
The SL2 is lighter
I bought the SL2 and I think the shoe is being overhyped. I much prefer the ride of the Rebel V4.
Boston 12 are bricks
BYD just looks cheap. Really disappointed.
